100 Favorite Films of All Time

A RAW Note: For a different type of ranking, see my and Siskel & Ebert's Top 10 by year as well as current ratings. As of 9/16/00, I finished viewing the American Film Institute's Top 100 Movies of All Time, a respectable list that balances artistic innovation with mainstream sensibilities. Most of them were utterly amazing, unequivocal masterpieces, and about half of them became instant favorites. Here is my personal Top 100.
